Dead Alive over Dog Day Afternoon

I feel kind of bad about this choice since I have seen neither of these, but since poor LOTR is out, and I feel bad for all you Peter Jackson fans...
By the way, did anyone include Heavenly Creatures on his list? That is a kick-ass movie. Maybe it will surprise us all and win.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon over Goodfellas

Suprisingly easy call for me to make. Yeah, Goodfellas was good. So what? You see it a couple of times and that's enough. I can watch CTHD over and over. I never get tired of the fight scenes. I'd like to see Joe Pesci climb up a friggin bamboo tree and kick ass while doing it. Close your eyes and just try to imagine it. There. Now you know why Crouching Tiger did a flying backwards kick to Goodfellas head.

sweet. very happy that CTHD made it. sure, you learn more about human nature from godfather. but yeah! flying around! chow yun-fat and michelle yeoh saying cool things in chinese (which is like the coolest-sounding language in the world)!

good job andrew. i am now picturing joe pesci doing many different things, all of which are very funny. surprisingly, the one that made me laugh the hardest was joe pesci cleaning a pool and waving at me.
